The School of Magic full course involves 8 90-minute magic lessons, once/week if live
twice/week if online.
Each School of Magic lesson involves personal instruction from "Mont Magic" ("Favorite Entertainer-Utah Family Magazine 6 years!) the only presenter in Salt Lake City licensed to teach this magic school curiculum.
At the end of the School of Magic course the students can put on their own show for all the parents. The magic school graduation ceremony presents each student with the great diploma and their own magic wand.
Rather than hoping for life skills as a potential by-product from learning magic, the Salt Lake City School of Magic has integrated and created what we call the Traits of the True Magician into every class.
"I just had to tell you how much Kxxx is already loving showing his magic trick. The day he came home from class he did it about 20 times on anyone he could find. Every day since he has found new people to keep performing the trick on. He loves it. Also every time, he always puts his hat on as well 💕
This means more to me than you know. Kxxx has been through a lot more trauma than the average kid, which has led to many struggles. In fact just this week his teacher from school sent me an email with her concerns about his struggles, one of them being his anxiety to talk in class and look people in the eyes etc.
So seeing his confidence in just one lesson of having him talk and perform his magic trick to so many people is a big deal.
Thank you, and we look forward to class this week" JF (mom)
"Evan enjoys these so very much. He thinks you are hilarious. I’ve never seen anything hold his attention like this. Can’t thank you enough!"
---Jen P (mom)
"I enjoyed that this was both a hobby and a talent Jacob can continue to work on. Some of the tricks he learned were truly amazing, and it was gratifying seeing him perform a trick and be so proud of himself." ---M. Poulter (parent)

Salt Lake School of Magic reinforces the SEL programs in your schools:
SEL addresses five critical areas of social-emotional knowledge: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills as well as responsible decision-making, as described by the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning.
How the 8 traits of a true magician (as taught in Salt Lake City School of Magic: RESPECTFUL, PREPARED, ENTHUSIASTIC, AUTHENTIC, CONFIDENT, CREATIVE, HUMBLE, GIVING) support the SEL program in your school:
•Self-awareness involves the identification of one’s emotions, recognition of strengths in one’s self and others, sense of self-efficacy, and self-confidence. CONFIDENT, AUTHENTIC, CREATIVE
•Self-management pertains to impulse control, stress management, persistence, goal setting and motivation. PREPARED, ENTHUSIASTIC, CREATIVE
•Social awareness includes empathy, respect for others and the ability to see different perspectives. RESPECTFUL, HUMBLE
•Relationships skills involve cooperation, willingness to seek and provide help and communication. Responsible decision-making requires the skills to evaluate and reflect as well as personal and ethical responsibility. GIVING, HUMBLE
